Meta has announced several changes that take effect on January 12, 2026. These updates include the removal of certain attribution windows and new limits on how far back historical data can be accessed for specific metrics and breakdowns.
You can find Meta’s official announcement here: https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2025/10/16/ads-insights-api-metric-availability-updates/
These changes will affect the Facebook Ads connector provided by Two Minute Reports. As Meta updates its APIs, we will need to align our supported fields and attribution windows accordingly, which means some fields & attribution windows will be updated or deprecated.
This article walks through what is changing and outlines what you need to know to avoid any disruptions in your reports.
Deprecated attribution windows
Starting January 12, 2026, the following attribution windows will be deprecated and no longer return data for any metrics:
- 7-day view
- 28-day view
- 1-day click + 7-day view
- 1-day click + 28-day view
- 7-day click + 7-day view
- 7-day click + 28-day view
- 28-day click + 7-day view
- 28-day click + 28-day view
New historical data limitations
Meta is also introducing a 13-month historical data limit for certain fields and breakdowns. For these fields, data will only be available for the past 13 months. If you request data older than this, no results will be returned.
The affected fields and breakdowns include:
- All unique metrics (these are typically prefixed with the word “unique”)
- Hour
- Hour (viewer’s time zone)
What you should do next
We recommend reviewing any reports, dashboards, or automated queries that rely on the deprecated attribution windows or affected fields. This is to help you make sure your data continues to load correctly after these changes take effect.
