Gain access to crucial insights such as impressions, top ads, swipes, amount spent, CPM, and more, all within a single Looker Studio dashboard. Before connecting your Snapchat Ads to Looker Studio, ensure you have the following permissions:
Required permission
To connect your Snapchat ad account with Two Minute Reports, you need to have either Account Admin or Campaign Manager access.
Once you verify that you have the necessary permission, follow these steps to connect Snapchat Ads to Looker Studio via TMR.
Step 1: Streamline your Snapchat Ads account in Looker Studio
- Go to https://apps.gox.ai/ and select Two Minute Reports for Looker Studio.
- Choose Snapchat Ads from the list of connectors.
- Click “New Connection” to create a connection in Looker Studio.
A connection is a link between your data source and the connector. For instance, you need to use the Snapchat Ads Connector to create a connection with your Snapchat Ads account to access your ad data. |
- In the Adding new connection dialog box, you can name your connection and authorize the account associated with your Snapchat Ads account.
- Select accounts for use: Once authenticated, enable the necessary ad accounts to extract actionable campaign insights. Please note that you can only create reports for the enabled ad accounts.
That’s it. You can now configure your Snapchat Ads account to extract meaningful insights.
Step 2: Configure your Snapchat Ads account with TMR
- In the Query Configs section, click + Add New.

- In the Adding New Query Configuration dialog box, name the query config, select the enabled ad accounts from the dropdown, and configure your Snapchat Ads report. Once done, click Save.
- You’ve successfully created a new configuration, which you can now use to extract data for your Looker Studio reports.
Step 3: Create a Snapchat Ads account with TMR in Looker Studio
- After creating the Query Config, click Create Report in the top-right corner.
- Select the Query Config you just created (in our case, it’s ‘Snapchat Ads campaign’) from the list of options and click Next. Choose ‘Create report from scratch’ to open the Looker Studio dashboard.
- Once the dashboard opens, select your team and the required Query Config from the dropdown. Click Connect in the top-right corner.
- After clicking Create Report, you’ll be directed to the Looker Studio dashboard. Here, you can drag and drop the relevant Snapchat Ads metrics and dimensions for efficient campaign insights analysis.
- To make your Looker Studio report more compelling, use charts and visualizations. Click Add a chart and choose appropriate chart types to configure your dashboard.
For example, you can use bar charts to visualize trends in your Snapchat Ads campaigns, such as impressions, swipe-ups, and conversions. Including a date range filter will help you analyze campaign insights over custom periods, revealing areas for optimization to improve your ROI.
Note: Sometimes, Looker Studio displays the error message “No data source” when there’s no data source associated with the component. Please refer to our troubleshooting article to understand the reasons for this and find practical solutions to resolve it.
