Addressing missing Amazon ad accounts in the Accounts list

When setting up your Amazon Ads account, you might encounter an issue with specific ad accounts not being displayed. In this article, we’ll investigate this issue and provide practical, real-time solutions to resolve the error.

Issue 1: Not granting enough permissions

When you log into your Amazon ads account, it’s essential to have Edit access to the Campaign Manager and View access to the Advertising reports for the ad accounts you wish to connect. Without these permissions, you won’t be able to generate reports through the API, and the ad accounts will not be displayed due to restricted access.

Issue 2: The account might be a KDP or Agency account

Due to API limitations, the Amazon Ads Reporting API does not provide access to data from KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) or Agency accounts. As a result, if the connected account is a KDP or Agency account, they don’t get displayed.

Now that you understand the reasons behind these issues and the feasible solutions, you can prevent them in the future. Granting necessary permissions is vital for the proper functioning and efficient analysis of your Amazon advertising campaigns.
