Account Missing Access or Connection Expiry

How to fix account missing access permissions and connection expiry errors in Two Minute Reports queries and schedules.

Two Minute Reports displays an error when an account used in your queries or schedules loses its permissions, or when the connection it relies on expires. This article explains what each error means and how to fix it.

Error messages

You may see messages like:

Does not have required permissions to access Platform account

Account missing access permissions for Platform

These indicate the account still authenticates but lacks the required role on the source platform.

Account missing access permissions

What does this mean?

The account used in your queries (e.g. a Google Ads account or Facebook Ads account) no longer has the required permissions to fetch data, even though the connection itself is still active.

Common causes:

  • Your access to the account was revoked on the source platform (e.g. removed from a Facebook ad account or Google Ads MCC)
  • The account was disconnected or deleted on the source platform

What happens if it's not fixed?

After 45 days, the account will be automatically disabled and removed from all queries and schedules.

How to fix it

You'll see a notice in the app on the Schedules page, Data Queries page, Connections page, and Accounts page. TMR also sends email reminders before the 45-day auto-disablement.

Take one of the following actions:

Option 1 — Check & fix permissions

Review the affected account on the source platform and restore the required access. Each connector has specific permission requirements:

After restoring permissions on the source platform, go to Connections in the TMR hub, find the connection, and click Edit to re-authenticate if needed.

Option 2 — Disable the account

If the account is no longer needed:

  1. Click Fix Accounts from the error notice
  2. You'll be taken to the Accounts screen showing accounts with missing permissions
  3. Toggle the account OFF to disable it

Connection expiry

What does this mean?

The account in your queries is affected because the underlying connection has expired. The data source can no longer authenticate, so queries and schedules that depend on it will fail.

Common causes:

  • The connection expired automatically after a period of inactivity
  • The account password was changed on the source platform
  • Two-factor authentication settings changed, invalidating the existing token
  • The credentials used in the connection became invalid

What happens if it's not fixed?

After 45 days, affected accounts will be automatically disabled and removed from all queries.

How to fix it

Re-authenticate the connection:

  1. Click Fix Connections from the error notice
  2. You'll be taken to the Connections page showing expired connections
  3. Click the Edit icon (✏️) and re-authenticate the connection

Disable the account (if it's no longer needed):

  1. Click Disable Accounts from the error notice
  2. You'll be taken to the Accounts page showing accounts with expired connections
  3. Toggle the affected account OFF to disable it

How you'll be notified

TMR surfaces this error in multiple places so you don't miss it:

  • Schedules page — affected schedules show an error state
  • Data Queries page — affected queries show a warning
  • Connections page — expired connections are flagged
  • Accounts page — accounts with missing permissions are highlighted
  • Email — reminder emails are sent before the 45-day auto-disablement deadline
