n8n
Use Two Minute Reports data in n8n with the HTTP Request node or the MCP Client node.
Use Two Minute Reports data in n8n workflows. Use the REST API to run a query, or the MCP server to give an AI agent your data.
Before you start
- An n8n account, cloud or self-hosted.
- A Two Minute Reports key. For the REST API, an API key. For the MCP server, an MCP key. See Create a key.
- To run data queries, the Editor role or higher on the team.
Use the REST API
- Add an HTTP Request node. Set Method to POST and URL to:
https://api.twominutereports.com/v1/teams/<your-team-id>/data/run-query - Set Authentication to Generic Credential Type, then Bearer Auth. Create a credential and paste your API key as the Bearer Token.
- Turn on Send Body. Set Body Content Type to JSON and Specify Body to Using JSON. Paste the query:
{ "accounts": ["gadw_1234567890"], "dimensions": ["campaign_name"], "metrics": ["amount_spent", "clicks"], "dateRange": "last_30_days" }
Replacegadw_1234567890with one of your accounts. See Run a query. - Put a Schedule Trigger before the HTTP Request node. Put a Slack or Google Sheets node after it.
The Automations tab of the AI tools page shows these steps with your team ID and one of your accounts.
Use the MCP server
- Add an MCP Client node to run one tool as a step. Or add an MCP Client Tool under an AI Agent node, so that the agent picks the tools.
- Set Server Transport to HTTP Streamable and the endpoint URL to:
https://mcp.twominutereports.com/mcp - Set Authentication to Bearer Auth. Paste your MCP key as the token.
- Select a tool, for example
run_query. For an AI agent, include all tools.
The MCP Client node needs n8n 1.122 or later.
Next steps
We checked these steps on 15 October 2026. If n8n shows something different, see the n8n docs for the HTTP Request node and the MCP Client node.
